The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza has his takedown stuffed
and Yashweh counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Souza fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Yashweh drops down looking for a counter takedown but Souza sprawls and moves away.
Souza goes for a double leg but Yashweh avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Yashweh continues to drive forward.

Souza gets tackled into the cage by Yashweh. Yashweh maintains the clinch.

Souza is fighting off a takedown attempt but Yashweh is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Souza to the mat. Souza regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
