Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Makunouchi Ippo (ranked 24280 p4p, 446 weight class) and Papa John (ranked 24303 p4p, 452 weight class). Ippo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Indestructible. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ippo dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on John. That did some damage!
John takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Ippo's jab looks to have found its range, popping John under the eye.
A solid leg kick lands there for Ippo.
John tries to clinch there but Ippo circles away.
Ippo feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Makunouchi Ippo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ippo scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Papa John has been cut.
A big left from Ippo misses.
Ippo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
John checks the leg kick.

John fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ippo, pushing him back against the ropes.
Ippo misses with a knee strike.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ippo connects with a knee to the head.
Ippo with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

John is rocked!
Ippo lands with a short head shot on the inside.
John is still on wobbly legs! Can Ippo finish him?
John throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Ippo blocks it with crossed arms.
Ippo creates a bit of space for himself and unleashed what can only be described as a tiger uppercut, straight out of Street Fighter! John crashes to the mat! Can he make it back to his feet in time? 3,4,5,6... it doesn't look like he's going to make it! John face plants back to the mat and the referee calls off the fight! Ippo takes it with a brutal technical knockout!
