Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Bakole (ranked 4846 p4p, 466 weight class) and Tim McGee (ranked 5848 p4p, 515 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Bakole!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Tim McGee!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Roberts and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bakole pushes McGee up against the cage in a clinch.

Bakole pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Bakole takes the fight into the clinch.

Bakole manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
McGee trying to control the position from guard on top but Bakole is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bakole knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McGee on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bakole is pulling down on McGee's head to control his posture.
McGee trying to control but Bakole is working from the bottom.

McGee advances to half guard.
Bakole is not content to let McGee control the position.
McGee looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bakole tries to roll over but McGee keeps him under control.
McGee with the ground and pound but Bakole uses the opportunity to regain guard.
McGee wants to control from the top but Bakole keeps moving.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bakole lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

McGee not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bakole trying to control the position from guard on top but McGee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Bakole is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

McGee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

McGee looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

McGee had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bakole defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bakole would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Bakole moves into the clinch.
Bakole tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
McGee is trying to pull guard but Bakole turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Bakole ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bakole no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Bakole counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Bakole tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bakole is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McGee can do to turn this around?

McGee is fighting off a takedown attempt but Bakole is just too persistent for him and manages to trip McGee to the mat. McGee regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Bakole is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Bakole perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

McGee makes his way to full guard. A much better position for McGee.

McGee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bakole gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

McGee working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bakole doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bakole manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Frank Bakole overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bakole gets to his feet. McGee looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Frank Bakole is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Bakole moves into range and clinches up with McGee.
McGee is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Bakole is defending well.

Bakole breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bakole lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Bakole misses with a few strikes there.

Bakole has clasped his hands together around McGee's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
McGee is trying to control Bakole's posture but Bakole avoids it.
McGee wants to get back to his feet but Bakole drags him back down.
Bakole wants to control but McGee is keeping him busy.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McGee is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bakole's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Tim McGee has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Frank Bakole is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Bakole drives through and clinches with McGee against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Frank Bakole.
Well Bakole has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
