Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jerome Winn (ranked 611 p4p, 83 weight class) and Davido Monto (ranked 705 p4p, 97 weight class). Winn comes into the arena with Coolio - Gangsta's Paradise blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monto staying out of range there.
Monto with the counter takedown but Winn avoids it easily.
Monto steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Winn.
Winn stuffs the takedown.
Winn was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
The fighters circling - Winn throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Horrible takedown attempt by Monto or perhaps it was just good defense by Winn, which made it look bad.
Winn swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Monto counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Winn keeping full guard, as Monto tries to pass.
Monto throwing strikes from guard but Winn blocks nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Winn preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Monto throws an elbow that misses. Winn uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Monto's guard. Nice move by Winn!

Monto is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Winn rolls with it to try and escape but Monto cranks on the arm and Winn is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
