The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko thuds a left hand into Kartofloson's body.
Kartofloson tries for a takedown but Emelianenko circles away easily
and Emelianenko counters with a stiff right hand.
Kartofloson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Emelianenko counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kartofloson thinking.
A head kick by Kartofloson misses
and Emelianenko counters with a lovely straight right hand!

It looks like Kris Kartofloson has been cut.

Emelianenko cracks Kartofloson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Emelianenko has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kartofloson to stand back up!
Kris Kartofloson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Emelianenko sends Kartofloson crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Emelianenko is motioning to the referee to let Kartofloson up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
