Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Fda (ranked 2292 p4p, 272 weight class) and Sea Level Cain (ranked 2994 p4p, 347 weight class). Fda comes to the cage accompanied by Hate Me Now. Chris Fda has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fda pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Cain gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Fda to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Fda uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Cain has time to react.
Cain has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Fda throws an overhand right that lands on Cain's shoulder, as Cain tries to avoid the shot.
Cain displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fda throws out the jab.
Cain bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Fda is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cain.

Cain throws a shot from downtown. Fda moves away and avoids it.
Fda misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Cain pivots, looking for a leg kick but Fda is out of range and Cain settles back down.

Cain throws a sloppy head kick and Fda moves out of range easily.
Fda attempts a counter takedown but Cain avoids it well and moves away.
Sea Level Cain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cain misses with a looping left.
Cain shoots in looking for a takedown. Fda tries to sprawl out of it but Cain keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fda manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Cain swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Fda lands with a thumping leg kick.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Fda, as that shot connected.
Cain jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Fda ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Chris Fda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sea Level Cain.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fda tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fda has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

You can see the frustration on Cain's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Chris Fda overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Fda goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Cain has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Fda but great work by Cain.

Cain is nestled in close to Fda, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
