Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chip Chocolate (ranked 910 p4p, 39 weight class) and Carlos Ruas (ranked 987 p4p, 45 weight class). Chocolate's entrance music is Cookie Dance. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chocolate slips under a jab from Ruas.
Carlos Ruas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chocolate throws an overhand right that lands on Ruas's shoulder, as Ruas tries to avoid the shot.
Ruas with the counter takedown but Chocolate avoids it easily.
Ruas ducks under a wild hook from Chocolate.
Chocolate takes one to the side of the head.

It looks like Chip Chocolate has been cut.
Ruas missing with a left hand there. Chocolate was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Chocolate walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Ruas displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Chocolate.
Ruas lands with an uppercut that bounces Chocolate off the cage and back into range.

We've been hearing that Chocolate has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ruas has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Chocolate is working away from the top position though.
Chocolate looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ruas with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Carlos Ruas's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Carlos Ruas's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Chip Chocolate was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
