Al Din kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is RUNNING BACK. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al Din defending well as Brent loads up on a big left hand.
Brent throws a right hand that misses
and Al Din counters with a nice low kick that buckles Brent's knee momentarily.
Brent scores with a nice head shot.
Al Din has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Al Din lands with a straight right. Brent didn't see that one coming.


It looks like David Brent has been cut.
Brent has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Brent connects with a right hand. Al Din shakes it off.
Al Din lands with an overhand left.
Al Din connects with a solid leg kick.
Al Din slips a jab from Brent.
Brent fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Al Din manages to avoid it.
A little feinted left hand from Al Din on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Al Din throws a low kick but Brent moves out of range easily.

Brent on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Al Din. Al Din obviously looking to wear him down.
Al Din pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Brent throws a fast counter high kick but Al Din manages to duck under it in time.
Brent misses with an uppercut.
David Brent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Badr Al Din has been cut.

Al Din swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Brent with a nice calf kick.
Brent shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Brent ducks under a wild hook from Al Din.
Al Din avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Brent throws a head kick that half lands.

The fighters circling - Brent throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Al Din throws a half hearted mid kick.
Brent throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Al Din appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Brent counters with a head kick that drops Al Din to the mat! Al Din scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Brent connects with a body shot.
Al Din throws a low kick but Brent moves out of range easily.
Brent throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Al Din misses with a looping right.
Brent thows a leg kick but Al Din checks it
and Al Din counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Brent attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Brent throws a jab but it's blocked by Al Din.
Al Din jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Brent lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Brent throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Al Din counters with a nice low kick that buckles Brent's knee momentarily.
Al Din goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Brent cracks Al Din with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Brent throws an off balance right hand
and Al Din counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.


That has opened up David Brent's cut even more.
Al Din ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Al Din quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Brent throws a hook to the side of Al Din's head but Al Din sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A telegraphed right hand from Brent misses the target.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Brent throws a head kick that misses
and Al Din counters with a low kick, right behind Brent 's knee.
Brent cracks Al Din with a good jab.
Brent cracks a nice hook into Al Din's ribs.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Al Din scores with a kick to the body.
Al Din keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Brent.
Al Din feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Brent tries to work over Al Din's front leg with a kick but Al Din checks it.
Al Din drops his hands momentarily and Brent takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Brent ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Al Din moves away.
Brent throws a right hand that Al Din ducks under and follows up with a left that Al Din also avoids with ease.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Brent dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Brent throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Brent tries a head kick but it misses.
Brent jabs Al Din right on the nose. Al Din blinks but takes it well.
Brent misses with a hook.
Al Din swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Brent misses with a left hand
and Al Din counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Brent takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Al Din ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Brent moves away.
Brent is looking for the big counter here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brent throws a lazy body kick
and Al Din counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Brent throws a hook to the side of Al Din's head but Al Din sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Al Din might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
Brent throws a head kick that half lands.


Badr Al Din's cut is getting worse.

Brent has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Al Din finds it's way round the side to connect with Brent's head.


Brent is rocked!
Brent lands with a slapping head kick.
Al Din lands a front kick.
Al Din defending well as Brent loads up on a big left hand.
Al Din jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
A telegraphed right hand from Al Din misses the target.
Brent throws out a counter right but Al Din avoids it with no problem.
Brent throws a head kick that misses
and Al Din counters with a nice low kick that buckles Brent's knee momentarily.
Al Din takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Brent fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Al Din has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Brent takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
David Brent seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Al Din misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Brent.
Brent has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Brent swings away with a leg kick that misses.
It looked like Al Din was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Al Din fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Brent is trying to break the clinch but Al Din is controlling him.
Al Din softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Al Din misses with a short punch on the inside.
Al Din's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Al Din lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Brent lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Al Din backwards.
A nice left hand lands by Brent.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Brent.
A nice left hand lands by Al Din.


The cut above David Brent's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Al Din misses with the head strike.
Al Din misses with some punches.
A body shot lands from Al Din.
Al Din swings away with an uppercut that misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A head punch on the inside from Al Din fails to land.
Brent tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Brent breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Al Din scores with a jab to the head.
Brent misses with a shot to the body
and Al Din counters with an outside leg kick.
Brent swings widly with a right hand
and Al Din makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Brent is breathing heavily.
Al Din throws a shot to the body.
Brent walks forward, straight into a front kick from Al Din.
Brent's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Al Din dances in with a quick combination. Brent is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Al Din snaps Brent's head back. Brent stumbles backwards against the cage. Al Din steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Brent's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Brent just didn't come prepared.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Badr Al Din!
Badr Al Din decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
