Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Beta Knox (ranked 664 p4p, 84 weight class) and David McCarthy (ranked 2626 p4p, 293 weight class). Knox comes to the cage accompanied by Anthrax | Fight Em Till You Can't. McCarthy is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Chamillionaire - Ridin' ft. Krayzie Bone. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCarthy walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
McCarthy with a poor takedown
and Knox cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
McCarthy lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

It looks like Beta Knox has been cut.
McCarthy closes the distance but Knox moves to the side
and Knox counters with a nice uppercut.
Knox lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
A slow jab from McCarthy misses its intended target.
Knox throwing a counter right hand but McCarthy manages to avoid it.
McCarthy takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Knox's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
McCarthy gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
letting Knox counter with a right hand.

and McCarthy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Beta Knox has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David McCarthy.

and Knox counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Knox lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Knox scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Knox lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - McCarthy can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Knox and McCarthy drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Knox.
