Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Duggan (ranked 3769 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arthur Minasian (ranked 11774 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jim Duggan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Arthur Minasian!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minasian throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Minasian takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Minasian does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Duggan swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
A slow jab from Minasian misses its intended target.
Duggan defending well as Minasian loads up on a big left hand.
Duggan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Minasian manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Minasian throws a head kick but Duggan moves out of range.
Duggan moves to clinch but Minasian breaks away
and Minasian counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Jim Duggan has been cut.
Minasian displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Minasian misses with a body kick.
Minasian with a hook.
Duggan drives through and clinches with Minasian against the cage.
Minasian tries to throw a body punch but Duggan avoids it by throwing Minasian back against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!

A body shot lands from Minasian.

Minasian tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Minasian lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Minasian lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Duggan.
Duggan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Duggan tries to clinch up.
Minasian throws a counter combo.
Minasian throws a series of punches but Duggan moves out of range.
Duggan is looking to clinch.
Minasian lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Duggan tries to clinch up but Minasian circles away and keeps his distance.
Minasian appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Duggan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Minasian swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Minasian throws a lazy uppercut
and Minasian takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Duggan works the jab nicely.
Duggan darts in trying to clinch
and Minasian counters with a low kick, right behind Duggan 's knee.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Minasian misses with a few strikes there.
Jim Duggan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Duggan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Minasian tries to avoid it but Duggan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Minasian to the ground. Minasian escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Duggan doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Duggan wants to clinch up but Minasian keeps it at a distance.
Duggan tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Minasian counters with a crisp right hand that drops Duggan! Minasian lets Duggan back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Jim Duggan's cut is getting worse.
Duggan shoots in but no luck this time.
Arthur Minasian is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Duggan misses with a takedown
and Minasian counters with a huge left! Duggan is in big trouble! He's backing up but Minasian isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Duggan from any more damage. A dominating finish by Minasian!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Arthur Minasian!
