Modus Ponens decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

Ponens has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Newell to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Ponens is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Newell pulls down on the head and he's put Ponens to sleep! This one is all over!

Ponens looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wieneke with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. #ROC2#

After the fight, Modus Ponens was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Ponens gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
We've been hearing good reports from Sigorsson's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
