We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kusuk has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Greene shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Greene was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Oshiro felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Greene has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Oshiro tries to bench press Greene off him but Greene keeps the position.
