Brandao rushes Mir and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Brandao throws a head punch that misses. #TD2#
Mir drags the fight down to the ground.
Brandao trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Brandao missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. #SUB2#
Mir escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Brandao gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Brandao wants to control from the top but Mir keeps moving.
Brandao knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mir on the ground.
Brandao stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mir swivels though and keeps the full guard. #SUB2#
Brandao got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mir has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brandao has managed to get both his arms back between Mir's legs - danger averted.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mir can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Brandao controls the pace.#SUB2#

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Mir sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Good leg kick by Brandao there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Brandao has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Mir to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Brandao is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Mir pulls down on the head and he's put Brandao to sleep! This one is all over!

Frank Mir spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
