In defeat, Byron Tipton stepped up to the mic, saying 'I know I am only 24, but I am retiring. Obviously I dont have what it takes to become a champion, there is no reason to put my body at harm for something that I suck at.'.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Curtin misses with a takedown attempt - Jackson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jackson works over Curtin's head and body with a nice combination.
Jackson connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Jackson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Curtin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jackson as he avoids it easily.

Jackson lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt McQuade quite badly. McQuade pulls Jackson in close trying to recover. Jackson postures up and lands two really hard shots that put McQuade on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but McQuade doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
