Machnacius has a hand on Takayanagi's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Takayanagi takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Takayanagi lands a couple of good shots and Machnacius has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Takayanagi is looking to cinch up a triangle. Machnacius throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Takayanagi's body to avoid the submission. Takayanagi has instead reached around Machnacius's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Takayanagi arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

A very excited looking Meguru Takayanagi made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

Takayanagi is working to tighten his grip on Compton's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Compton has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Takayanagi is really squeezing tight and eventually Compton passes out! Takayanagi breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
