Slaughter shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Umaga defends it nicely.
Umaga has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Umaga slaps away a takedown attempt from Slaughter, before circling back to the center of the mat.
A nice leg kick lands there from Umaga.
Umaga wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Slaughter goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Slaughter will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Doctor Slaughter. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A jab from Umaga finds it's way through Slaughter's defenses.
Slaughter lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
