Mack gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Stark keeps the fight on the outside.
Stark looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
That kick from Stark tenderised Mack's leg. Mack is trying to keep his angry face on.
Mack takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Mack tries to clinch up but Stark circles away and keeps his distance.
Stark throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mack stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Stark manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mack swings wildly with an uppercut but Stark uses good head movement to avoid it.

Mack has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Stark uses from the top position.
Mack really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stark. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mack is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Stark controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Gu definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Gu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gu connects with a nice short shot to Mack's temple.

Gu is landing big shots and Mack is squirming looking to escape! He can't escape though and the ref jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chi Gu!
Chi Gu opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.

Mack fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Waters, pushing him back against the cage.
Mack lands a left hand that snaps the head of Waters backwards.
Mack lands an elbow inside that Waters shrugs off.
Mack dips a shoulder and cracks Waters with a mighty uppercut! Waters falls back against the cage and Mack unloads with a barrage of strikes! Waters is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Mack screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rodney Mack!
After the fight, Rodney Mack was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
