Cortez throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Jawbreak gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Cortez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Dick Jawbreak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cortez fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jawbreak has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Jawbreak manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Cortez on his heels. He'll look to pass Cortez's guard now, I'm sure.
Cortez is looking to stand up but Jawbreak isn't so interested in that idea.

Jawbreak drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Dennis defends it well.

Stepping on the scales for a second time, he still failed to make the required weight and after much deliberation, his fight with Ricardo Cruz was cancelled.

Jawbreak takes one to the chin there.
Vicious lands a jab.
Jawbreak has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Jawbreak shoots in for a takedown but Vicious shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A little feinted left hand from Vicious on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Jawbreak gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Vicious counters with a nice uppercut.

Jawbreak is rocked!
Vicious lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Jawbreak head around and knocks him out cold! Vicious hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

Jawbreak feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Jawbreak has closed the distance and engaged Lowder in a clinch.
Lowder has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jawbreak avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Jawbreak is trying to drag Lowder to the mat but Lowder just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Lowder gets underhooks to prevent Jawbreak's takedown attempt.
Jawbreak has Lowder pressed against the cage, preventing Lowder from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lowder has Jawbreak pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Jawbreak manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
