Nickoson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

West is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Samorn to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Samorn shrugs it off.

Mckenzie avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mckenzie half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Samorn tries to close the distance and clinch but Mckenzie swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Samorn shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mckenzie but Mckenzie pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mckenzie changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Mckenzie misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.#CL2#
Samorn closes the distance and pushes Mckenzie back into the cage.
Mckenzie wants to take the fight to the mat but Samorn manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
