Niklasson fails in his attempt to clinch.
Niklasson tries to clinch but Chavez moves out of range.
A head kick misses from Niklasson.
Chavez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Niklasson moves away.
A clash of legs there as Niklasson blocks the low kick.
Niklasson tries for a takedown but Chavez sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Niklasson goes for a double leg but Chavez avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Chavez continues to drive forward.
Chavez looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Chavez scores with a jab. Niklasson acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Chavez feints with a jab and clips Niklasson right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Niklasson is sent crashing into the canvas and Chavez leaps in for the kill! Niklasson tries to get to his feet but Chavez is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Niklasson is in need of a savior and steps in!
