Lal closes this distance looking for a takedown but Alvez circles away.
Warley Alvez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alvez scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
A thudding body kick lands there by Alvez!

Alvez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Alvez connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Lal tumbling to the canvas! Alvez pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Lal was done - good stoppage!

The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
