Rafal doesn't manage to clinch there - Briggs circles away.
As Rafal backs off Briggs throws a huge counter combo but Rafal manages to avoid it all.
Briggs looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

and Briggs counters by clinching up.
Briggs tries to pull guard but Rafal holds him up against the cage and eventually Briggs drops back down to his feet.
Rafal is trying to break free.
Briggs told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.#BC2#

Rafal closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Rafal sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Briggs is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB#
Rafal is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Briggs looks calm but he's in trouble here. Rafal gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Briggs is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Rafal lets go of the hold and Briggs can pop his arm back in it's socket.
