Quigley forces Murda back against the cage and clinches.
Quigley tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Murda avoids it.
Quigley jumps guard but Murda stands there with Quigley around his waist. Quigley gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Quigley can't find room to land a body shot as Murda controls the action.
Quigley lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Murda or not. #BC2#
Murda's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.#TD2#
Murda closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Murda lands in his opponent's guard.
Quigley is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Murda dives into side control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
It looks like Murda might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Murda has his feet on Quigley's thighs here. He's pushed Quigley off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Quigley screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Quigley tries for a takedown but Bigat circles away easily
and Bigat counters with a one-two to the body.
Quigley's coach down at Island Top Team was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Quigley's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Bigat wants to clinch
and Quigley counters with a nice body shot.
Quigley fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.#T1#
Quigley throws a front kick that sends Bigat stumbling back into the cage.
Bigat is breathing heavily.
Quigley tries to clinch but Bigat moves out of range.
Quigley scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Quigley has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bigat uses from the top position.

Quigley pushes a forearm under Bigat's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Bigat is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

and Rodrigues counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rodrigues.

Rodrigues lands with a light punch inside.

A right hook to the body lands for Rodrigues.
Quigley is breathing heavily.
Rodrigues scores with a nice hook to the head.

A short body shot lands from Rodrigues as the two fighters clinch.
Rodrigues lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Rodrigues unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Quigley! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Rodrigues is unloading with more strikes now! Quigley drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Isidoro Rodrigues!
After the fight, Isidoro Rodrigues was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
