Sai fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Hryunov's coach down at 3Band MMA ($500/week) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hryunov's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Sai's corner calls for a 1-2. Sai obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Sai seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Hryunov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sai moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hryunov throws a body shot but no joy.
Sai will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Yu Sai decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

After the fight, Yu Sai was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Sai lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Hawkes Jr is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
