I was talking to Bei's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Bei lands an elbow that stopped The Eagle in his tracks for a moment.

Bei jerks The Eagle's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! The Eagle drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Bei goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Bei because The Eagle was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

After winning the bout, Liu Bei thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

Gilbert Valur seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Valur closes the distance and clinches up with The Eagle, looking for a takedown. Valur pushes The Eagle against the cage but The Eagle circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
The Eagle fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Valur avoids it really well and circles away.

Calacon has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
