Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Tomas Chicote and Yuki Shojo. Yuki Shojo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Tomas Chicote! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 1 losses; Yuki Shojo!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Atkins and Richard Clark.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Chicote.

Chicote tries to pull guard but Shojo won't allow it.

I wouldn't like to be where Chicote is right now.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Shojo might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Chicote haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Shojo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chicote does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Chicote has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Chicote is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Shojo pulls his head out easily.

Skjoldr has left one of his arms exposed and Chicote doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Skjoldr screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Rico leaves Chicote with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
As Chicote backs off Rico throws a huge counter combo but Chicote manages to avoid it all.
Chicote shoots in but Rico avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Nice sprawl there from Rico as Chicote shoots in.

and Rico counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Chicote has been working on his balance at Physical Gym($50), so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Rico.
Tomas Chicote seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rico is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.
