Mauck goes for a double leg but Apollo avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Apollo continues to drive forward.
Mauck looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Apollo lands a head kick. Mauck smiles back at him and beckons him forward. #CUT2#
It looks like Jared Mauck has been cut.
Mauck walks forward, straight into a front kick from Apollo.
Apollo throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Mauck's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Apollo dives in looking to finish as Mauck flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Apollo's strikes! Apollo is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Mauck's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Mauck was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

A relieved looking Max Apollo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
