I was talking to Golovkin's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Golovkin piles on the pressure with more strikes! Seterdahl is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vitaly Golovkin!

It looks like Detrious Seterdahl has been cut.
Seterdahl walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Seterdahl limp body while Night jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

A very excited looking Suga Night made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

Seterdahl fails to land with a series of punches.
Seterdahl throws a big shot that misses.
Seterdahl just misses with a punch to the body.
Seterdahl misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Seterdahl blocks a jab.
Pearson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Pearson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Seterdahl lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pearson circles away quickly and effectively.
Detrious Seterdahl seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Seterdahl misses with a few strikes there.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Pearson moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Seterdahl! Pearson continues to tee off on Seterdahl, landing with a left and a right! Pearson connects with a right hand that leaves Seterdahl sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Pearson!

After the fight, Norman Pearson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Wise moves into the clinch.
Wise keeps control of Seterdahl as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Wise is trying to pull guard but Seterdahl has him pressed against the cage.
Wise could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Wise drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Seterdahl is trying to force a seperation but Wise has the dominant position.
Seterdahl wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fred Wise. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Wise is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Seterdahl has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Wise is looking to defend but Seterdahl has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Wise! Seterdahl pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Wise taps out and this one is all over!
