Ray closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Ray thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Ray thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Danton's head.
Danton keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Ray throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Ray feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Wes Ray decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
Henry Aron spoke after the fight, saying 'I want to thank me mum, Rise for giving me this chance, and I am going to want that belt back.'.
