I was talking to Merel's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Irving ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Derange misses with a takedown attempt - Irving sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Derange shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Irving pinned against the cage. Irving gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Seb Derange. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Derange needs to keep his hands up - Irving had a free shot at his head there.

Derange has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ricci is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Seb Derange seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Derange darts in looking for a takedown but Blackwell gets double underhooks and turns Derange into the cage.
Blackwell looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
