Gaines tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Stanley wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The referee asks Stanley politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Stanley prefers to stall for the moment though.
Gaines is looking to get back to his feet here but Stanley is keeping cool and he's managed to take Gaines's back.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stanley has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Gaines's body.

Gaines's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Stanley is holding on here and Gaines must be using up a lot of energy. Stanley has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Gaines gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
