Born in Seoul South Korea, Kwon Won Won was an exceptional athlete growing up, having competed in baseball, kickboxing and soccer. Kwon has fought muay thai competitively since he was a child. KWW was also scheduled to fight at the K-1 World Gran Prix in 2009 in South Korea but he was forced into military duty for the ROK Armed Forces for 2 years. KWW began cross training while in the army and began training BJJ and wrestling full time to complement his already polished striking game.
