Vito Cascio Ferro came to America when he was 24 years old. Barely able to speak english, he took to the streets to earn money. He eventually met up with another Italian who happened to be connected with one of the New York crime families. The family wanted to use Cascio Ferro as a bodyguard for the boss because of his intimidating size. One day at a bar Cascio Ferro had to beat up two losers for looking at him funny.
