Shepard misses with a takedown attempt - Soininen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Soininen is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.#TD#
Shepard closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Shepard lands in his opponent's guard.
Shepard wants to get up but he can't break Soininen's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Soininen lands a huge takedown. Shepard is out but the ref is slow to react and Soininen lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Shepard lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
