Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Grant can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Evereld controls the pace.
Let's hope that Evereld has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well Evereld has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Rockatansky throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Rockatansky lands a two punch combo.
Rockatansky connects with a looping right hand.
Qatiri dives in and grabs Rockatansky's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rockatansky pushes down on Qatiri's head and hops out.

Qatiri takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Rockatansky throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Rockatansky connects with a combination that backs up Qatiri into the cage. Rockatansky lands a flurry of punches that gets past Qatiri's guard. Qatiri is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Rockatansky bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Max Rockatansky!
