A clash of legs there as Kidd blocks the low kick.
Kidd swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Kidd shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hummel defends it nicely.
Hummel is looking for the big counter here.
Kidd takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kidd jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hummel walks away with a smile on his face. Kidd gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Calvin Kidd. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hummel stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hummel wants it to stay on the feet.
Hummel rushes Kidd with punches - Kidd moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Kidd goes down! Hummel follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
