Mason attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Padilla seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

and Mason counters with a shoot takedown. Padilla fights it but they end up in guard.

Mason ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mason no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mason can do anything to dispel that myth.
Mason is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Mason is pressing down on Padilla's thigh, looking to free his foot. Padilla is holding on for now.
Mason seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Padilla is refusing to be controlled, as Mason sits in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mason is sitting in close to Padilla's body. Padilla has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Mason is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Mason is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Padilla.

Dunkeld feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.#SUB#

Dunkeld arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Huffman's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
