Helly tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Helly throws a right and a left that both miss.

Helly uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hendrix.
Despite the aggression on Helly's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Hendrix thows a leg kick but Helly checks it
and Helly counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Helly is pawing at Hendrix, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Hendrix's nose. Hendrix is badly hurt! Helly pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Hendrix tries desperately to hold on but Helly is relentless in his assault! As Hendrix receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Helly away and this one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ray Helly!

Camacho shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Camacho trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Sue wants to stand up but Camacho is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T1#

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Camacho takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sue is looking to control Camacho's arms but Camacho gets an underhook and turns him. Now Sue has his back to the cage.
