Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Troy Morin and Cassius Clay. Cassius Clay told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.



The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Clay has closed the distance and engaged Morin in a clinch.

Clay jumps guard but Morin stands there with Clay around his waist. Clay gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The referee is keeping an eye on Clay - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Morin tries to throw a body punch but Clay avoids it by throwing Morin back against the cage.

Clay drags the fight down to the ground.

Morin wants to control from the top but Clay keeps moving.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morin is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Morin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Clay is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Morin is aware though and is defending well.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Morin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Clay tries to keep at a distance but Morin has taken the fight into the clinch.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Clay takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Clay had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Morin defends it easily.
Morin engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Clay is on top in guard.


Morin has his foot on Clay's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Clay works his way back into a safe position though.
Clay loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Morin drops back looking for a leg! Clay is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Clay manages to kick Morin off! Morin jumps back into Clay's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Morin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Clay but Clay pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Clay shoots in looking for a takedown but Morin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Clay's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Morin is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Clay.

Clay darts in looking for a takedown but Morin gets double underhooks and turns Clay into the cage.
Morin closes the distance and clinches up with Clay, looking for a takedown. Morin pushes Clay against the cage but Clay circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Clay shoots in but Morin avoids the takedown attempt easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Morin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Clay paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Clay tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Morin swivels and escapes.

Morin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Morin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Clay can't do much from the bottom here.
Morin content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Morin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Morin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Morin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Clay has escaped the position, nice work there.

Morin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Clay is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Troy Morin.
I think Morin has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
