Bones has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Bones seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kanodia for as long as he can get away with.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Bones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kanodia but Kanodia pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Kanodia cracks Bones with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Bones falls to his knees and Kanodia doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Hicks is trying to pull guard but Tyler turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Hicks goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Hicks fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Tyler shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hicks pinned against the cage. Hicks gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Tyler has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hicks after a bit of a struggle.

Tyler wants to take the fight to the mat but Hicks manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Hicks ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hicks no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Tyler loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Hicks had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tyler defends it easily.

Hicks working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tyler doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tyler manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hicks is breathing heavily.

Hicks has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Tyler is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hicks.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hicks manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Tyler wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hicks keeps working.
Hicks tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Tyler has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Tyler is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hicks to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hicks shrugs it off.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Tyler has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hicks is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
