Gott throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Malone I I I counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Gott tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Malone I I I manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gott tries to close the distance and clinch but Malone I I I swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Malone I I I shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gott napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Malone I I I just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Captain Gonza and Chuck Lesnar. Gonza kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Mononoke Hime. Lesnar has chosen Number Of The Beast as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Angelo Curba looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.
