Rush closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sparks to the mat! Sparks manages to get full guard.
Sparks wants to stand up but Rush is controlling him.
Rush throws an elbow that misses. Sparks uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rush's guard. Nice move by Sparks!#REVB#
Rush looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sparks trying to control but Rush is working from the bottom. #T1##ES#
Rush scrambles and gets back to his feet.

and Rush counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sparks won't be happy with that.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Sparks throws a series of punches but Rush moves out of range.
Rush changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.#CL#
Rush has managed to clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Rush.
Rush tries a knee to the head but Sparks blocks it.
Sparks wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Rush has him pressed against the cage.

Rush breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sloppy strikes from Sparks. Those never looked like landing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sparks lands a really nice looking cross but Rush seems unphased.
Sparks shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Rush eats them both and turns towards Sparks to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.#ROC2#
Rush is rocked!
Sparks throws a nice looking combination but Rush bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rush appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Oh Rush is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sparks throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Mark Sparks will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!

Sparks lands a hook that stumbles Rush back into the cage. Sparks follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Rush to the canvas! Sparks pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Rush has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Mark Sparks!

Sterling rushes Sellers with punches - Sellers moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Sellers goes down! Sterling follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nick Sterling!
A less than humble Nick Sterling misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
