Lampanga lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Giroux circles away quickly and effectively.
Giroux takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Giroux tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lampanga manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lampanga seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

and Lampanga counters with a series of strikes. Giroux will be more careful next time no doubt.

The fighters circle momentarily. Lampanga darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.#CUT#
It looks like Claude Giroux has been cut.
Lampanga swats away the attempt to clinch by Giroux.
Lampanga went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Giroux moves to clinch but Lampanga breaks away #KD#
and Lampanga counters with a nice right hand that sends Giroux toppling to the canvas! Giroux scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Lampanga finish him?!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Lampanga counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Giroux has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!

Olongo Lampanga decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
