Grip loads up on a big right hand but Davis slips the punch.
Grip throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Davis uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Grip.
Davis seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Grip throws a hook but Davis avoids it easily.
Grip fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Davis manages to avoid it.
Davis was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Grip has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Medusa Grip seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Davis throws a lazy right hand but Grip sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Grip changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Asug with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Okada to score with a decent uppercut.#ROC2#

Miller throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Perkins was covering up waiting for the punch and Miller finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Miller passes Perkins 's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Miller is taking a breather. Perkins says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Miller working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Miller remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Perkins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Miller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
