Nascimento advances nicely into full mount.
Nascimento takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Son trying desperately to get to his feet.
Son tries to hold on but Nascimento pushes him away. #SUB2#

Nascimento is working for a guillotine from mount but Son frees his head quite easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nascimento is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Son is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Son flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Nascimento anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Son and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Nascimento slips an arm under Son chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Nascimento has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Nascimento is squeezing on Son like an anaconda would it's prey. Son fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Romulo Nascimento!
Romulo Nascimento decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

Renile has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Son after a bit of a struggle.
Renile is trying to drag Son to the mat but Son just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Renile is breathing heavily.
Son is struggling to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Son digs a right hand into Renile's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Renile's gas tank.

Renile has his foot on Son's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Son works his way back into a safe position though.

Renile lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Renile avoids a kick to the body.
