The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Sandra Marshall and Peter Branson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beach Boy looks to score with a jab to the body but Neckless is just out of range.
Nice sprawl there from Neckless as Beach Boy shoots in.
Beach Boy tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Neckless defends well and Beach Boy ends up having to push Neckless into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Beach Boy misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A good leg kick by Neckless.
Beach Boy takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Neckless looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Neckless misses with a few strikes there.
A nice side step and Beach Boy releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Purl Neckless seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Beach Boy throws a right and a left that Neckless avoids nicely.
Neckless with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Neckless connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Beach Boy shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Neckless defends it nicely.
Purl Neckless has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mitch Beach Boy.
Nice takedown defense from Neckless. No joy for Beach Boy on that attempt.
Beach Boy dives in and grabs Neckless's left leg, looking for a takedown. Neckless pushes down on Beach Boy's head and hops out.
As Beach Boy looks to move away, Neckless throws a big counter combo but Beach Boy just gets out of the way.

Neckless lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Beach Boy pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Neckless rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Beach Boy moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Neckless pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Beach Boy has taken the fight to the clinch.
Neckless goes for a takedown attempt but Beach Boy pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Neckless lands a leg kick that knocks Beach Boy off balance momentarily.
Beach Boy goes for a double leg but Neckless avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Neckless continues to drive forward.
Beach Boy looks winded!
Neckless thuds his shin into the meat of Beach Boy's side.
Neckless looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Neckless could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Neckless bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Beach Boy's head.
Neckless moves out of range of the body kick.

Neckless throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Beach Boy was covering up waiting for the punch and Neckless finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Neckless gets to his feet - Beach Boy follows without any prompting.
Beach Boy takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Beach Boy tries to keep at a distance but Neckless has taken the fight into the clinch.
Neckless can't get the takedown.

Neckless breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Sloppy strikes from Neckless. Those never looked like landing.
Neckless lands a head kick!
Neckless fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Beach Boy tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Neckless takes the fight into the clinch.
Beach Boy is looking for a takedown.

Neckless gets a trip takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neckless controlling the action here.

Neckless seems to be working for a kimura but Beach Boy defends the submission attempt.

Neckless in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Beach Boy tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Neckless!
