On 11 April, 2015, Mentor Corleone (3503) the owner of the original GAMMA (Global Association of MMA) Organization, presented the GAMMA#474 Curry v Denke event, for the viewing pleasure of MMA fans around the globe. This event, located at the LA Memorial Colossuseum in Los Angeles, is proudly sponsored by GREEN!160 based in Las Vegas

This event hosted a Title fight at 185 pounds between Arthur Curry and Karl Denke for the middleweight Championship. This action-packed event had 10 fights resulting in 7 knockouts and 2 submissions with only 1 fight going the distance. Rabid Alien here to walk you through the carnage. All the arm-breaking nose-crushing details can be found at http://www.mmatycoon.com/orgeventpublic.php?EvID=826060

170 lbs fight between "Rip" Rufus McTearson (186694) and "Dai tuong" Phan Tran Le (162219)

Le comes out kicking and McTearson is punching but 30 seconds to the cut by head kick and a bleeding McTearson has the vampires on their feet. This apparently energizes McTearson and at the 2 minute mark he knocks Le on his butt with a left hand and then mounts him. McTearson has the superior BJJ but is practicing his GnP and he NEEDS practice trust me...missing most of it, but the referee has hopes I guess because he lets it go all the way to the end of the round. Round 2, Switcheroo and its Le coming out punching and McTearson kicking. But it seems that McTearson is connecting alot more than Le maybe due to the reach advantage and in the middle of the 2nd round, McTearson cracks Le with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Le falls to his knees and McTearson rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Results: After 2:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rufus McTearson!

145 lbs fight between "The Candyman" Willy Wonka (159900) and Mike "Big Pimpin" Henderson (147392)

Wonka surprised me by throwing and landing almost as many strikes as Henderson did. But he didnt do so well getting a takedown. However the one takedown he managed to get was all he needed because he didnt mess around and in one attempt he submitted Henderson. Nice work Wonka !

Results: After 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Willy Wonka!

265+ lbs fight between Giordano "The Truth" Bruno (177363) and Billy Bob (181877)

They came to fight and there aint no feelin out process, they go straight to war. In less than a minute, Bob lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Bruno sprawling to the canvas and follows him to the mat looking to finish. Bruno is rocked and cut and its a long way to the bell...but he pulls his shit together and starts working for a submission...but eventually the referee stands them up. Bruno is on the attack and Bob is countering, but its only a minute or so and Bob cracks Bruno with an uppercut from hell and Bruno crumples to the canvas and he looks like he is out! But he recovers quick and grabs one of Bob's legs and pulled him into guard and starts working for the submission again...and hes got it! Bob taps!

Results: After 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Giordano Bruno! NOTE: Billy Bob is now RETIRED

205 lbs fight between Marko Torturo (54639) and James "Jimmy" Holmes (151992)

Both fighters come out kicking but its Torturo dominating in the clinch...and i do mean dominating! In less than 6 minutes of fight he 73 punches from the clinch and landed 38 of them and thats more than many entire fights I have seen. If he learns elbows and knees he gonna be a champion someday...

Results: After 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Marko Torturo!

170 lbs fight between Alexander "Russian Vityaz" Povetkin (50112) and David "The Mink" Charles (150927)

Well Charles got a takedown and tried 2 clinches...but neither man did crapola on the ground so I guess we will call this a standup battle. This was a battle of quality not quantity. Charles threw almost double as many strikes as did Povetkin and he landed more strikes as well. But, it was Povetkin doing damage and cut Charles early in the 1st round and then rocked him late in the second round and followed that up with a counter punch when the rocked Charles falls off balance trying to connect a combination. Speaking of counters...I dont think Povetkin initiated any encounters...he was all about counter-punching and I guess its like thay say..."whatever works"...

Results: After 4:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alexander Povetkin!

145 lbs fight between Meat Beater (174503) and Ein Stein (182566)

For some reason Stein was really intent to clinch and did so 5 times from his 9 attempts. But with all that work he landed on 2 strikes from the clinch...so perhaps it was meant more as a defensive tactic? Beater on the other hand landed 15 strikes in the clinch and neither man used elbows or knees in the clinch. Stein also burned alot of energy getting 1 takedown out of 10 attempts and then only managed 2 submission attempts. The 2 warriors were almost dead even on strikes landed in the standing war...so it looks like the clinch-work won the fight for Beater.

Results: All 3 judges see the fight the same at 27:30 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Meat Beater!

265+ lbs fight between Gunnar Steigelmann (196145) and Marcus Fenix (186326)

Fenix busy with hands and feet and Steigelmann just kinda hanging around as Fenix is landing some really good strikes...Fenix apparently gets tired of waiting for Steigelmann to take him down so he takes Steigelmann down and then "allows" Steigelmann to reverse him so he can start working his submission game. Sneaky guy that Fenix fellow... But the referee stands them up after Fenix fails a few times and the round ends. Round 2, Steigelmann comes out swinging and looks like he is now ready to fight and landing a couple shots on Fenix's face, Fenix is bleeding from the nose? or maybe a cut. Almost like they exchanged shoes and now its Steigelmann working the beatdown on Fenix, and sends Fenix stumbling backwards into the cage with an overhand right and catches him on the bounce with a combination that drops him to his knees. Steigelmann gets in a couple more shots before the referee can save Fenix... Nice work Steigelmann ! A bit slow on the start...but he really gets going once he is awake!

Results: After 0:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Gunnar Steigelmann!

145 lbs fight between Umberto Sotto Jr (184807) and Yuri Boyka (34136)

Sotto Jr comes out kicking and then cuts Boyka with a combination before Boyka lands his 1st strike. Boyka was looking kinda punked out there for a minute but he comes on strong and is almost holding his own on strikes landed when Sotto Jr rocks hin with an uppercut. Followed by a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Boyka falls flat on his face, eyes wide open, but no one is home...DAMN that was a sweet punch! And speaking of sweet...they say revenge is sweet which is the story for Sotto Jr who lost to Boyko last December.

Results: After 3:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Umberto Sotto Jr!

170 lbs fight between Kris Hong (204017) and "Sweet" Doc Chillum (102689)

Both warriors come out with kicks but before the 1st minute is done, Hong cracks Chillum with an uppercut that knocks him down and he looks to be out! But he quickly recovers enough to grab a leg for dear life and pulls Hong into guard. Hong is going for the kill and is working his GnP and advances to half guard to improve his ability to finish it but Chillum manages to recover and is defending good enough that the referee eventually stands them up. They bang away at each other until the end of the round and the crowd is on their feet. Round 2, Like round 1, both men are throwing but its becoming obvious that its Hong who is landing far more of his strikes and sure enough, Hong set Chillum up with a jab and then lands an uppercut, right on the button! Chillum tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... SWEET knockout ! Damn that was awesome!

Results: after 3:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kris Hong!

This was a TITLE fight at 185 lbs between the Champion, "King of the Seven Seas" Arthur Curry (92326) and the Challenger, "The Cannibal" Karl Denke (63718)

Curry throwing a lot of kicks and Denke seems interested to take him down. Curry lands a head kick and cuts Denke in the 1st minute and a minute later Denke gets his takedown, so they are both happy now. But the referee is not happy and stands them up. Denke is very aggressive and throwing strikes and working for the takedown, but Curry is countering everything real good and damn sure getting plenty of his own strikes in as he tries to basically beat Denke back. Curry scores with a left and then drops Denke with a hook right on the temple. Waving Denke back to his feet, Denke is showing he is ok by being aggressive and throwing strikes but when he misses with and uppercut, Curry counters with a huge left and Denke is hurt and backing up...but Curry isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Denke. WOW that was a lovely finish!

Results: After 3:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Arthur Curry! Arthur Curry retains his middleweight title!

Well I found this to be a lovely night of vicious beatdowns and wish u all happy dreams of bashed in noses and twisted elbows! GOODBYE!
