155lbs Title : Shogun Iron Tyson vs Koh Ibu
Tyson is no stranger to facing dangerous opponents which is a good job as thatís exactly what he has in front of him in our Co-Main Event. Last time out the 155lbs champ took on Tyler Durden and fans feared the worst but he came out with purpose and took a chance at stopping the seemingly unstoppable. He rocked Durden towards the end of the first round and then in the second he cracked him with a stunning spinning backfist that made him the first fighter to have finished him with strikes. Tyson himself seemed a little surprised that he had achieved such a remarkable feat but he had hinted before the fight that he knew how to exploit his opponents weakness. Now he just has to figure out how to do the same against an equally, if not more dangerous fighter in Ibu. The big difference is that we have already seen that Ibu has been knocked out before.
As I said, Ibu has been knocked out before but that was under previous management. Since his change of manager his record is a nice 8-2 and those defeats were by decision rather than stoppage. This suggests a bit of a tidy up un his defences as his other 3 defeats from his time under his previous management all seen him being stopped with strikes. After an impressive win over one of Tysonís friends and training partners at the recent SYN Supernova event he came to CEC and in his only fight so far he scored a massive victory over former champion Volya Nikolaev with a beautiful head kick in the second round. This propelled him to the title shot that he has now. All he needs to do is reach out and take the belt with a similar win against the current king of the 155lbs division.
155lbs : Euphegen Doubdtfire vs Fook Man
The legend returns to CEC as Euphegen Doubdtfire, two weight champion, headlines the event in a rematch against SYN 155lbs king, Fook Man. Doubdtfire has amassed an amazing and unheard of 17 fight win streak. Yeah, you read that right 17 (seventeen) fights in a row in which he has walked out the building as the winner. One of those was against the very same opponent he faces here and it ended with 2 seconds left of the second round when Fook Man chose to tap out via triangle choke instead of taking a nap. The same result would make him a happy man and would also add to his incredible win streak. At this stage it looks like there is nobody that can even come close to competing with this great fighter and everyone he faces will just become another name on the list of fallen foes.
Fook Man has a second chance to take out the top dog but has he got what it takes to make it happen on this occasion? He has bounced back with 2 wins which has earned him the opportunity for redemption. The big question still remains though, has he learned anything from that defeat that will change the outcome this time around? He definitely has the skill set to compete but actually beating Doubdtfire seems like mission impossible to any fighter just now. If Man can actually pull it off then he becomes the one with the target on his back and everyone will be coming after him so they can say they beat the man who beat the man. Now we just have to wait and see if he can get the job done second time around.
