The Hardcore Fighting Championship heads to London, England for an action packed event to be held at the Camden Conference Centre on 6/17/17. This event will include ten great fights inside the cage and will feature the rubber match between HFC veterans Starling Silva (11-5; 4-3 in HFC) and Anton Obuhov (11-7; 7-2 in HFC; former HFC MW champion) in the middleweight main event. In the co-main event featherweight contender Scott “The Knife” Keene (17-7; 3-1 in HFC) seeks to make a case for title contention. But he will have to best submission specialist James “Anaconda” Franklin (11-6: 4-4 in HFC) in order to keep the chase for a shot at gold alive and well. The competitive rivalry between Starling Silva and Anton Obuhov has seen these two clash two times already. Starling Silva won the first bout in violent fashion by way of knee induced knockout. Obuhov would avenge the loss in their second bout in a fight of the night effort and work his way to a hard fought decision. This time it is to determine, who has the bragging rights here … and given the standing of both competitors with the fans, a decisive win could catapult either fighter considerably up the middleweight rankings. A mountain, the top of which once was home to former middleweight champion Anton Obuhov. And he would love nothing more than to do it again. But his old rival awaits in the cage and wants to have a word about that with him, first. Scott Keene has so far proven to be must-see MMA, collecting 9 of the night awards throughout his career. A devastating striker, “The Knife” hails from a boxing background and just loves to cut through his opponents. A knockout ratio of over 88% confirms as much. But his opponent has a ratio of his own. A 100% submission ratio to be precise. The result is an interesting style match-up, the result of which may have very interesting implications for the contender rankings at featherweight. Also on the card: One bout will see Ely Scrubs (9-3; 3-1 in HFC) return to the cage. The 27 year old, already a very versatile and capable mixed martial artist, seeks to rebound straight back into future title contention, after being bested by MMA prodigy and two division champion Christian Tavares in his first bid for the HFC lightweight title. Looking to spoil these comeback aspirations is Tim “The Trojan“ Thomas (18-12; 4-3 in HFC), a veteran of 30 fights, who has been as consistent and successful lately as he ever was, winning 5 of his last 6 fights. Both men clearly prefer to keep the fight standing and are both equally capable to win inside the distance by way of knockout, much to the delight of the fans. Another fight sees two top ten welterweight contenders collide, when Romulus “The Victor” Fietsora (12-4; 0-0 in HFC; ranked number 10) squares off with Daniel Barbosa (6-2; 5-2 in HFC; ranked number 6). Fietsora is making his debut in HFC, whereas Barbosa is an HFC staple, having fought nearly exclusively for the HFC. Both fighters are proven knockout artists with knockout rates over 83%. It would be very surprising if this fight goes the distance. And a knockout-of-the-night-victory would greatly advance the chances of either man to solidify his place among HFC's welterweight royalty. Matt “The Moose” Gentry (15-6-1; 1-3 in HFC) will have to prevail against HFC debutant Jontte “Res” Man (8-6; 0-0 in HFC) if he doesn't want to fade into unexpected obscurity, after having lost two in a row. Both losses against previously mentioned fighters: Ely Scrubs and Tim Thomas. * The Hardcore Fighting Championships are sponsored by: Kaiser Nutrition
