Preview for HFC 108: Jackson vs Kid HFC 108 is the date where you don't want to be late, mate. For Hardcore Fighting Championship is going to sell out the Saku Dome. 7,000 fans stand to expect a stacked card, heavily injected by new blood out of the now defunct Rio Fight League. Many former RFL fighters have found their way to to the HFC and will now test themselves on new soil. Let's look at the main card in total. Romulus “The Victor” Fietsora (13-4, 1-0 in HFC) vs. Holger The Dane (8-4, HFC debut) – Welterweight bout The opener will be between Romulus Fietsora, who won his first fight for the HFC recently, and Holger the Dane, who would like nothing more than to secure a successful HFC debut of his own. Both men are strikers, first and foremost. But Fietsora may have a slight edge in the ground department, which he may seek to exploit. Especially given that Holger The Dane has struggled on the ground in the past. Yes Man Sanchez (14-7, 4-2 in HFC) vs. Iosue Nicu (17-3, 1-0 in HFC) – Light Heavyweight bout In the next fight, Rumanian standout Iosue Nicu will be put to the test. This sensational MMA striker has collected 205 gold in two orgs already and now is determined to add the FC Light Heavyweight strap to his collection. Standing in the path of such ambitions is the battle tested Yes Man Sanchez. A man, who just fell short of securing the 205 HFC Championship himself, when he lost against Champion Devon Bailey. This is an extremely competitive fight, which will have the eyes of everybody with aspirations of going anywhere in the HFC 205 pound division glued to it. "Brooklyn Bruiser " William Burns (34-11-1, HFC debut) vs. Eldar “The Giant” Smith (10-6, 2-1 in HFC) – Heavyweight bout The Brooklyn Bruiser was once recognized as one of the most dangerous heavyweights on the planet and holds notable victories over a who-is-who of yesterday. Now that he is 40 years old, it may seem tempting to write him off. But William Burns is still running surprisingly strong, having won three out of his last five, he still is very consistent. And he still can knock people out! Should he do it against Eldar Smith, he would collect his 30th career knockout! A milestone that many fighters never reach. Eldar Smith however, is a tall order. A 2,15 meter large order with a 100% knockout ratio of it's own. That is both, in MMA and in Kick Boxing! And he is 13 years younger. A potentially dangerous fight for Burns. But then again, Smith himself has suffered virtually all his career losses by knockout. That also holds true for his kick boxing record (4-5). So if this trend continues, somebody will be flattened! And Burns definitely has a massive edge in experience. Zdravko "Hrvata Sokol" Saric (7-3, 4-1 in HFC) vs. "The Dinosaur" Barney Rumble (8-0, HFC debut) – Heavyweight bout The Croation Zdravko Saric has gained tremendous second wind during his HFC stint as of late. After a bumpy start to his pro career, greatly belying his actual ability, he has found his own rhythm in HFC, it seems. He strung together a four fight win streak in the organization. Saric is best described as a Muay Thai specialist with dangerous hands, very technical and tough as nails. He has yet to be beaten decisively. And all his seven wins came by way of knockout. But now he is in for the biggest test in his career. His opponent Barney Rumble is a perfect 8-0 in MMA and 8-3 as a kick boxer. Included within his flawless MMA record are three victories at Super Heavyweight. He boasts a 100% knockout rate in MMA and an 87,5 one in kick boxing. Given that Saric has no real grappling pedigree, he will have to take Rumble at his game. Not that he would have it any other way. This is an absolute fight of the night candidate! "The Children Of The Sea" Michael Jackson (19-4; HFC debut) vs. Bill "Bonney" The Kid (20-10; HFC debut) – Welterweight bout This main event is one that many fans of the RFL would have loved to see there. But the company closed it's gates before it could happen. Now it is going down! Here in the HFC! Michael Jackson vs. Bill The Kid! Michael Jackson has so far put together an impressive 19-4 record, relying mostly on his Muay Thai based kicking game, educated hands and dirty boxing in the clinch, to do so. The runner up of the last Island season's welterweight tournament has been criticized for soft matches after leaving the Island. But there will be little room fur such criticism as far as it concerns Highland Games veteran and former Middleweight fighter Bill The Kid, who hasn't anything soft about him. His big right hand hand has secured him a 90% knockout ratio. And knocking a guy like Michael Jackson out cold would sky rocket his current standing. He is however five years the older and never was seen as somebody with the most trustiest of chins. This one could go either way!
