Reports Of My Death ...

About Me: Roland Lawrence

... have been greatly exaggerated," said returning manager, Roland Lawrence, at our interview last night.
Why did everyone who disappeared from the game feel the need to misquote Mark Twain upon returning?

Q. We actually hadn't heard such reports, you were relatively unknown when you left the last time.
But where have you been this past year, Mr. Lawrence?

A. It was amazing, really. I was on a private flight across the Pacific Ocean, when our plane was struck by lightning, and started to go down.
The pilot somehow managed a controlled descent.
There was nowhere to land, however, and we skipped across the water like a stone on a pond.
Against all odds, it appeared we would come safely to a stop.
But we must have hit a wave at the wrong angle, and the plane flipped on that last skip.
We were tossed about like rag dolls, and the vessel was torn to shreds.
I managed to grab on to a flotation device and woke up on a deserted island.

Q. Incredible! And how long were you there?

A. Three years! I began to lose my mind, and made friends with a volleyball that washed ashore.
I called him Wilson, and we c

145lb  Enrique Molito (24-4-1) v Julian Reis (20-14-1)

Congratulations to Reis for securing his 20th win! That's two in a row now, and it looks like there has been some new life breathed into a career that some said was floundering.  A man possessed, he fended off Enrique's strikes, and continually brought the fight to the ground. Early in the 2nd round, Molito was tapping out, as Julian Reis secured a powe

CHAMP CHAT

Champ Chat with Charles Martel

                                                                                                                                                                            Charles welcome to CHAMP CHAT

Charles: Good to be back JJ, and this time I am back as an official SYN Champ.

JJ: Well you had a big fight since I last talk with you

Charles: Yea, Idea and I had s rematch for the bantamweight title. It was a much closer contest than the first time around; Idea had made some good adjustments to his game since the first fight. At the end of night, it was not enough and I walked away with yet another world title for my mantel.

JJ: I made a lot of money betting on your last fight champ. What, if anything surprised you in that fight?

Charles: That is good, I am glad one of us made some money off it! I have been in over 70 pro fights at this point; there is not a lot that surprises inside a cage anymore. Except for the recent robbery of my main training, partner Winning Sheen in his bid for the CCF HW Championship. Yet another example of some of these hack promotions and the promoters paying off judges and refs. His opponent was allowed to bring a razor blade into the cage for their bout. That saw him lose another fight due to a cut. Nevertheless, as far as my own fight versus Idea, nothing surprised me.

World Combat Championships: The Big Bang Review

Event Review: world Combat The BIG BANG
Executioner FC
2015-02-27, The Island, Hard Knocks - The Island
Attendance:2,060, Event Rating:303
Author:Shtaaf Reimish

Hard Knocks - The Island was the place to be on February 27th

as the World Combat Championships in conjunction with Vikai Gear held its last event of the Island season with "The Big Bang!"
Over 2000 fans crammed into The Island's main arena as WCC owner JJ Tycooner
put twenty of the top Island fighters into the octagon as he prepares to move the organization to New York in March.

The night's card was featured by two title bouts for the Middleweight and Superheavyweight belts as title holders
"Prince" Shoddy Body and Matt "Fondelier" Porcelain Punisher put their belts on the line against Billy Tinkl and Skunk Asap respectively.
Shtaaf Reimish here to recap all of Thursday's action, so lets get 'em going!

#2 Ali "The Headhunter" Roumani (6-2) vs #6 Reem Khalid (5-2) Featherweight
You know the card is stacked when a #2 and #6 square off in the first bout of the evening, but that’s exactly what happened at 'The Big Bang.'
This fight started off a little slow, but Roumani really begun to show his class as the first wore on.
He got the takedown just over 2 minutes in and tried a couple of submissions, but none managed to stick.
After Roumani began showing his stand-up skills in round two,
it was Khalid that got the takedown, but after a couple of failed sub attempts, Roumani again took over on the ground and won the round.
Khalid got the takedown again in round three, and took over the fight.
He dominated the third, but unfortunately for him, it was a case of too little too late as Ali Roumani unanimously won 29:28 on all three judges' scorecards.
The win may have got Roumani a title shot, if he chooses to move to New York with the WCC.

It's A Fight Nation

About Me: Anthony Jones

While in NY we was able to catch up with Anthony Jones inside the LOD: Performance Center NY.
The owner of Fight Nation Management, one of the newest upstart management companies to get into the MMA / Kick Boxing space.

Mr. Jones was pressed for time but allowed us to control him for a short interview.

So Mr. Jones, thank you for giving us some of your time to answer a couple of question.

AJ: Oh it's no problem

You know there are a lot of managers in this fight world. What do you have to bring to the table?

AJ: Oh, I'm sorry..... Well, that's a great question? Here at Fight Nation Management  I take care of my fighters.
I will work hard to get them that fight and their worth. I started Fight Nation Management because I saw a void, a void that needed to be filled.
That void was lack of genuine concern for the fighter. .

I mean come on Mr. Jones, your not the first manager to try to do that.

AJ: True indeed, that is why I am always asking around about the potential that's out in the city.
My staff and I have certain qualities we look for when we are scouting fighters to offer our management services.

And what is that?

AJ: Top Secret, If I told you then you would have to come up missing...Joke.
A lot of managers are not interested in building a fighter up, their just looking for a shot at the title.
Don't get me wrong now, my fighters will be Champions. I mean thats what they fight for.. to be the best, numero uno.
There can only be one winner, there is no such thing as second winner.... Umm, I think that is better known as the loser.

Rumor
